family fun on Father’s Day

Saturday, July 17th, 2010 | Author: Natalie

I’ve had so many photo sessions lately that I’m a little behind on blogging sneak peeks (in fact some may actually become post-peeks!) so watch out for several coming your way…

Just a few short weeks ago, on Father’s Day, I travelled to Ouderkerk aan de Amstel (a lovely little village near Amstelveen) to meet this wonderful family, including Grandma :-)

Just look at that adorable face, doesn’t he make you smile?! :-)

We had a fun afternoon together – drawing pictures of Hello Kitty, blowing bubbles, making a hideaway from umbrellas and blankets, we also did some hula hooping too! ;-)

For the family photos we headed for the bedroom; the light was just gorgeous, streaming in from two large windows.

Such a happy family, it was lovely to spend the afternoon with them.

Oh, and I loved Monty’s t-shirt – it says “Dad is my Hero” :-)

Megan had a mountain of energy, barely staying still for a nano-second. However, after a series of forward rolls I caught her eye for a brief moment…

Hope you enjoyed the sneak peek! There are more peeks coming soon so keep your eyes peeled! ;-)

Wishing you all a fabulous weekend!

Best wishes,
~ Natalie

summer fun at the beach with a family of 6

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010 | Author: Natalie

Summer has arrived and I have a fabulously summery sneak peek for you, and an extended sneak peek at that. Earlier this month I spent a wonderful morning at Kijkduin Beach with the M. Family. Their 4 children were adorable, playing in the sand, building sandcastles with their parents and splashing in the sea together :-)

We barely had sand between our toes when the three youngest ran across the beach with their bag of goodies, so sweet to watch them :-)

We had a lot of fun, though there was the odd grumpy moment too, but even those moments made me smile. In the photo above, E. had decided he didn’t want to be in the family portrait; he left us to sit with his back to everyone whilst quietly tossing sand in the air… his grumpiness didn’t last very long though, and he soon joined the others and was having fun jumping the waves *splish splash* :-)

There is so much love in this family, it was wonderful to watch them play together.

They’re a beautiful family :-)

We also took a moment to photograph the children individually. Here’s P. the eldest..

and the youngest, twins A. and K. – they were so sweet, holding onto my hand and walking with me across the sand :-)

E.’s eyes really sparkled, a total cutie!

Of course, we needed a beautiful photo of Mum and Dad too :-)

That’s all for now ;-) hope you enjoyed the sneak peek!

Best wishes,
~Natalie

an escape from the rain

Saturday, November 28th, 2009 | Author: Natalie

I was really looking forward to photographing this family; I received their request for a portrait session via the Littlest Heroes Project (our littlest heroes are children suffering from any type of serious illness or life altering disability). Their youngest daughter Britt, a wonderful and very loving little girl, has Down’s Syndrome.

We arranged to have an outdoor session in the park but it started raining just before their session and when they arrived to meet me there was no sign that the rain would stop any time soon. Since we weren’t far from Scheveningen, I suggested that we go to the Sea Life Centre at the beach; it would be fun for the girls and we’d escape the rain too! So off we went…

There are going to be lots of sneak peeks in this post, I really found it soooo very difficult to just choose a few photos to share!

Little fish, big fish, sharks and stingrays. It was so much fun to watch Britt explore with her big sister, Claire.

Britt and Claire found some “bubble” windows to look through…

…and here’s my view of Britt from the other side :-)

When we came out of the Sea Life Centre, the rain had stopped and the sun was peeking through the clouds. It was perfect for some portraits on the beach.

Britt and Claire had fun collecting shells and filling their pockets with them.

Here’s Mom with her two beautiful daughters; and a funny face from Britt!

These beautiful girls made me smile the whole day, I really love this one of them together :-)

Ok, last one in the sneak peek. Here’s Britt, drawing in the sand.

Thank you so much for a wonderful Littlest Heroes Project session! Hope you enjoyed your sneak peek!! Hope Dad did too, shame he couldn’t be there to join you on the day. There will be many more beautiful portraits in your gallery, it’s coming very soon!

Have a good weekend everyone! Thanks for stopping by :-)

the gift of custom portraiture

Earlier in the year the Family Solutions Netherlands Initiative held the first of their conference series. As well as being a Sponsor for the event, Tigs Creations Photography also donated ‘the gift of custom portraiture’ as a raffle prize. Congratulations to the winners, here’s a sneak peek from their session…

Tigs Creations Photography

There are so many beautiful images that it was hard choosing which ones to share! Such a gorgeous family, it was really wonderful to meet you all.

For me, this next one really sums up the whole session with this little guy – just *had* to share it! :-)

Tigs Creations Photography

LOVE his expression! He was a lot of fun, and amazing how much energy he had! :-)

a birthday treat

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009 | Author: Natalie

This beautiful family had just returned from a holiday on the west coast of the USA and although they were still  jet-lagged they had oodles of energy during their session. It was Mom’s birthday and we celebrated with a fun photosession in the park :-)

Tigs Creations Photography

It was a gorgeous day, and although it was still technically summer, this was a session for Christmas portraits so the discovery of autumn leaves was a welcome one and out came some warm winter coats for a few of the photos.

Tigs Creations Photography

After the park we moved to their home for a quick studio session, here’s a couple of my favourites…

Hope you enjoyed the sneak peek! :-)

it’s Vini’s family :)

Tuesday, August 04th, 2009 | Author: Natalie

After several days of gorgeous sunshine and warm weather, it was suddenly a very wet morning in The Hague… the sky was grey in all directions, and not the slightest hint of sun or blue sky in sight… should we reschedule, should we not… we decided to go ahead anyway but with a change of location, so I headed off to Gouda (where it was a little less rainy) to meet Vinita, JK, and their son, Vivaan :-)

Vinita is one of my closest friends and a great photographer, I’m sure many of you will have seen photos of her on my blog before  – we have a lot of fun on our photo days ;-) I am truly honored that she chose me to photograph her family :-)

Vini… I hope you enjoy your sneak peek :-)

Our first stop was the park and there was a children’s play area there… Vivaan was too cute, he wanted to play on EVERYTHING! His lovely white shirt didn’t stay white for long!! ;-)

Tigs Creations Photography

(clickety click on the image above to see the three pics bigger ;) I soooo need to upgrade my blog to allow for bigger pics! hopefully soon…)

Tigs Creations Photography

I looooove this one.. you’re both so happy and smiley, this is really how I know you :-))

Tigs Creations Photography

I think Vivaan was getting tired.. oh no… wait…. ;)

Tigs Creations Photography

haha! so FUN! I sure would like to know where Vivaan gets all his energy from..!! ;-)

Vini and JK – it really was a blast to spend the morning with you and to capture all those images that are rare in a photographer’s family.. I’m so glad we went out and braved the rain! Hope you love your sneak peek, I can’t wait to share all the images with you :-)

triple the fun: 3 boys

Saturday, June 20th, 2009 | Author: Natalie

It’s time for another sneak peak!

Last weekend I had a really fun time photographing a wonderful family from Australia. We first visited the Japanese Garden for some photos there but we ended up sharing the garden with a film crew and I don’t think they were overly enthusiastic about our rendition of baa baa black sheep, so we left for an adventure in Clingendael Park instead…

But first, since I love the bright red bridges in the Japanese Garden, meet Finn, Ronan and Declan…

Tigs Creations Photography

There is a gorgeous staircase and a beautifully kept garden in Clingendael so we spent some time there, playing catch and blowing bubbles… and I kept catching Declan resting his hands on his hips, such a cutie!

Tigs Creations Photography

And, here’s another one, hands on hips again… and looking a little curious about the bubbles his mum was blowing..

Tigs Creations Photography

So, in an attempt to have all three boys smiling at the same time….

Tigs Creations Photography

I couldn’t see what mum and dad were up to behind me but it was evidently very funny!

- pssst. out of the corner of my eye I caught dad dancing an irish jig! shhhhhh, don’t tell anyone!

Tigs Creations Photography

*teehee* the boys were laughing so hard; every time I see this photo I remember their infectious laughter and a smile spreads across my face – it was definitely a fun morning!

We had some time to go and visit the playground too…

Hope you enjoyed the sneak peek!!

Lifestyle Portraits

Friday, October 31st, 2008 | Author: Natalie

Happy Halloween everyone! And I’ll tell you something that is quite spooky… travelling in a lift (elevator for the Americans reading this) with a broken light which occasionally flickers on very dimly… yes, the light in our lift was broken today, I hope it is fixed very soon, it is quite spooky to be stood there in the darkness with the light flickering on and off…

I’ve had such a busy few weeks photographing some wonderful clients as well as travelling to the UK and Germany. October has been so busy! And….. for this post, I’d like to share with you a selection of photos from a recent lifestyle shoot.

I had great fun photographing this family, their two boys had so many ideas for their portraits and they had a lot of fun playing together, reading, playing musical instruments… just being boys really, which is what it was all about! Here’s a few of my favourite images :)

Hope you enjoyed them! See you next time…
